Doctrinal Statement

1. We believe that God rewards those who diligently seek Him (Heb.11:6), but…

2. There is no excuse for those who deny Him because they know better(Rm.1:18-22, Ps.53:1)

3. We believe that the bible is God’s word for us in all things(IITim.3:16, IIPet.1:21), but…

4. We also believe that the bible must be “rightly divided” to be properly understood(IITim.2:15)

5. We believe in the Trinity of the Godhead(Deut.6:4, ITim.2:5, Eph.4:4-6, IICor.13:14)

6. We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s son who became flesh through a virgin birth, never sinned, died on the cross and rose again for the salvation of all who would believe in Him and what he did for us(Lk.1:35, Ph.2:6-9, Rm.1:3-4)  We need salvation because…

7. Mankind by nature is sinful, under condemnation, and in need of God’s mercy(Eph.2:1-3, Rm.3:9-11, ICor.1:18-31) lost, if not for…

8. God’s mercy(our salvation) comes to us by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, and not by any merit or worthiness on our part.  It is an unmerited gift to those who will trust in His work and righteousness instead of their own(Rm.3:21-28, Rm.5:1, Eph.2:8-10)

9. We believe that once you have truly been saved, you cannot lose your salvation.  We didn’t earn it by our behavior, and therefore we can’t lose it by our behavior either.  Our salvation is based entirely on our belief in what Jesus Christ did and does for us(Col.3:1-4, Ph.1:6, Eph.1:13-14)

10. We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit and His purpose in our lives, which includes baptizing us into the Body of Christ, the church(ICor.12:13, Titus3:5, Jn.16:7-8, Eph.3:16-19)

11. We believe that all true believers are unified in one great church, called the “Body of Christ” , no matter where they attend church, and even if they don’t(Eph.1:22-23, ICor.12:13,  Eph.4:1-6)

12. It is the privilege and growing desire of every Christian to walk after the Spirit, and not after the flesh(Rm.1:4-5, Gal.3:1-3)  but…

13. It is God we depend on not only for our salvation, but for our gradual transformation, by the renewing of our minds,  into what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God(Rm.12:1-2, IICor.3:18, Ph.1:6, Gal.2:20)  we also wait for…

14. The final transformation of our bodies as we are raised and changed in the twinkling of an eye(IThes.4:13-18, Tit.2:13-14, ICor.15:51-53, Ph.3:20-21)  then, after we are gone…

15. A great tribulation will happen on the earth worse than anything that has ever happened before, or ever will happen in the future(Mt.24)  and then…

16. The Lord Jesus Christ will return to reign on earth, with his apostles, for one thousand years (Zech14:1,4,9; Acts 1:10-11, Mt.19:27-28, Rev.19:11-16, Rev.20:1-6)

17. Satan is released for a “little season”, and then cast into the “lake of fire” forever(Rev.20:7-10)

18. The great white throne judgment and the punishment of the unsaved dead into the “lake of fire”(Rev.20:11-15, IIThes.1:5-9)  but for us…

19. The judgment of loss and rewards for those whose foundation is Jesus Christ(ICor.3:11-15)

20. The Mystery “hid in God” but revealed through Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles, where we find the doctrine, position, walk and destiny of the Church today(Gal.1:1,11-12, Rm.11:13, Eph.3:1-9, Col.1:24-27)
